Tight Bore Airsoft Barrels
Longer barrel with a suppressor for my airsoft gun?
So if I have an 18.5″ or 469mm inner barrel and I buy a mock suppressor that is 157mm (6.18″) long will I be able to buy another inner barrel like a tight bore that is 24-25″ (609-635mm) long, or will the new barrel just rattle around in the suppressor?
Just to add to what Michael has said, it should hold steady, you will have to make sure the outer barrel has the correct internal diameter to hold to inner barrel steady because a slightly larger hole will wobble the barrel slightly, which will be a lot more after another 6 inches of barrel. Some outer barrels come with a little rubber grommet which sits in between the inner and outer to ensure it is held tightly. If you don’t get one with yours try experimenting with really thin rubber bands or a couple of layers of electrical tape wrapped round the end of the inner barrel to ensure a tight fit.
