What is the difference between a semi-automatic pistol and a blowback pistol?
all gas guns are semi-automatic but only some are blowback
blowback means that after a shot gas pushes the slide back to chamber another round
below is the pros and cons of all the gas gun
Electric pistols- unless your buying a skorpion or a MP7 dont get an actual pistol with batteries there garbage
Spring- by far the cheapest-most reliable, usually the most accurite and range from a pistol. they generally last much longer because there are few parts the downside is you manually have to cock it for each shot
Co2-Co2 has its ups and downs. Usually its pretty cheap and the cartriges are easy to get and cheap but there usually not a good idea. if you have a cheap gun then go ahead but i really would recomend not using it in an expencive gun. The reason is its dry and if u let it out u see the specks of dry ice it makes. The reason its bad is it dries out the orings if used continually and frequently. the mags whare out fast and can kill the orings in the gun. if its a cheap gun then u throw it away but if its a nicer gun it can be expencive to fix.
Green gas-Propane-red gas etc-
these are the primary. red gas ir rare but if a gun says it can be used its more powerful-but know to wreck guns so stay away. Green gas is basicly propane-silicon oil and a few other things it keeps the gun lubricated and running smoothly. the major con to it is that it is pretty expencive and come is small cans. also recently it has become pretty hard to find.
Propane is the best to use. you pay 5 buck for 2 big campstove tanks and about 20 for the adapter. then some more for silicon oil and your all set. with the amout of shots from the 2 tanks your all ready saving money over the 25 and up cans of green that are smaller than the propane. U put some oil -just a few drips- into the top of the can ansd put on the adaper use it like green gas but every 6mags put more oil.
Gas blowback cost more are much better
