Powerful Spring Airsoft Guns
What’s a good manufacturer of AEGs (airsoft) available in the UK?
Me and my mates are just starting out and are in the process of joining the appropriate groups e.g. UKARA and what not. Would someone please give me some indication of which manufacturers to be looking at, given that we only need beginners guns and are on a budget of under £200. Cheers. P.S. I heard Jing Gong (JG) produce low reliability guns, something to do with the spring being to powerful for the gearbox.
JG if you want fair quality for low money. The quality of their internals has improved a LOT in recent years.
As you’re playing in the UK, chances are most JG guns will require a downgrade before they’ll be allowed on most sites. Fitting an M90 spring will take it nicely under site limits and increase the lifespan of your gearbox to boot.
On average, UK sites have limits between 328fps and 350fps with 0.2g ammo. JG guns tend to do between 350fps and 380fps with 0.2g (remember, have YOUR guns chronoed, don’t rely on what a website says or what a mate’s gun fires – Chinese guns can vary wildly in power).
