Airsoft Upgrade help (m165 spring)?
Hi, I want to upgrade my airsoft gun, its an Aftermath Orphus Socom (m14 socom), Its starting to weaken on me, i do not feel like doing a complete overhaul on the interior parts unless needed. I don’t want to go blow $300 on it either, my maximum is $350, so if you can find some parts, here are the 2 springs that im deciding on:

Please create a checklist of reliable parts from stores WITHIN the U.S., and remember it has to fit an M14 socom, if its relevant the barrel length is about 440mm, thank you.
And can you preferably find parts FROM Weapon Blender or at the LEAST Evike.com, thank you.

I hate to say it, but you with a spring that strong you will need to do a complete overhaul on the internals….I think i can keep it under $350 for you…but this is going to take a bit so i better get best answer for this.
that upgrade kit may more but the teeth on the piston are going to be a bit weak. I would go with this:

It has metal teeth and will last longer. you will need to get gears as well. these are good ones:

you will also need a reinforced gearbox, sorry this is expensive:

you will need a high torque motor to pull that spring back, i suggest this one:

I’m going to be honest, I cant remember if your gun uses the long type or the short type motors, either what just get the long type of the short type of that motor
you will also need a more powerful battery that one if up to you because i don’t know what sizes fit in your gun.
