Electric Airsoft Guns 500 Fps
Which airsoft gun should I get?
I am trying to decide between a spring sniper rifle with around 400 – to around 500 fps, or an electric G3 – both of which I can get from a store in my area.
I currently have an electric AK-74u
Things to consider:
-If I would get the sniper rifle, I would only have enough money to get the rifle and not a pistol (see below), so should I save up and wait?
-If I get a sniper rifle, I would want a gas pistol for a side arm, or should i use the ak 74u with it instead of a pistol?
-Is it worth getting the sniper rifle, because on fields you cant shoot someone within 100ft….So is it better to go with the G3 rifle?
This question definitely depends on your own preferences. The AK74U is basically a shortened version of the AK, mainly for fielding and CQB. That means you mustve played those more than long range. Are you itching to play long range now? It takes a lot more patience, and if you dont have a good enough team, it can lead to fustration when no one covers your position from enemy fire. Plus, a sniper rifle is a one shot weapon, unlike an AEG. you will not believe the difference in the importance of each bb when you fire a sniper until you get into a combat situation, where one bb can take out a person who is out of range of all your comrades, but can be a huge threat if not neutralized.
Yes, and if you can’t handle the long range waiting, then the G3 is your best bet. Again, another short range to medium range weapon. That will serve you if you just want to play the role of a normal assualter.
IF you really do want a sniper rifle, you can still use your AK for a back up. Though, it will be a LOT more to carry around than just a pistol. So yes, save up for a good gbb pistol or even an MP5K, which retails around 90 dollars at airsoftpost.com.
i personally have a dependable team, and im allowed the chance to pick off some targets with my sniper rifle once in a while. no, my field is not a huge field, but there are places and opportunities where a few sniper shots can do a huge deal of damage, especially against the other team’s support gunners. All the weapons have their own abilities, and grant them to the user. The real question is: will you use them effectively or not.
