Airsoft Mp5 Upgrades
if i upgrade my spring, what is the highest fps i can go with a version 2 airsoft gearbox?
i have a mp5 and i want to upgrade it by getting a tightbore barrel and a new spring. how powerful of a spring can i get with my version 2 gearbox without damaging the gun? links to where i can buy springs or tightbore barrels will be appreciated. also, suggestions on the best, cheapest ways to improve my accuracy and range. will a new hop up be worth it also?
Ehh, I have to disagree, with all these OMG 2009 Models out, the gearboxes seem pretty reinforced, they can most likely take a M130 ( DO YOU SEE THOSE GUNS look at that freaking JG junks that fire 420 FPS O_o) But, to be on the safe side go for a m120, if the gun you’re getting isn’t already 400 FPS.
Well, like I said, best upgrades for an AEG would be a Hopup buck and tightbore (as in things that don’t come already with a AEG)
Systema Hopup bucking hasn’t let anyone down and is only 6.75$
Madbull Tightbore barrels are best for the price at 30-35$ and haven’t let me down either, except ironically when I use Madbull/Echo1 BBs.
The best Hopups are the hard rubbers (laylax also known as promethus, firefly, and some other) but have 20$ + cost
Soft rubbers will do the trick and increase your range.
You seem a bit new, upgrading a barrel and hopup bucks are easy, but if you have trouble go to your local airsoft arena and ask them to add it on, the hopup buck is basically on the end of the barrel so the upgrade cost would most likely be 15$
Its fine to have a stock gun you know.
EDIT: just to tell you, DON’T EVER GET MP5 HICAPS, THEY SUCK HARD. Get midcaps, they won’t ever let you down and are cheaper (6-8$ usually) and don’t require winding
