will the fps on my mp5 pdw increase if i put a silencer on it?

Wrong, Money M. A “silencer” works on the gases after they have already left the barrel….the bullet is long gone….thus the “silencer” can not decrease the velocity of the already gone bullet in a firearm.
And no, a “silencer” won’t increase the fps because it works to decrease the pressure column behind the bullet after the bullet has already left the barrel and is flying down range. If it were a “barrel extension” and maintained or increased the pressure behind the bullet, it would increase the velocity, but it’s not.
In an airsoft gun, unlike a firearm, your max pressure is achieved the second that the gun is fired….and it decreases every nanosecond after that. It’s like a blowgun. Your max pressure hits and then it all slows down rapidly. A silencer works the same as on a real firearm….it simply decreases the pressure behind the pellet faster. It can’t maintain nor increases the pressure thus no acceleration. A barrel extension on an airsoft gun can give better accuracy, but not greater pressure so no increase in velocity. In fact, a longer barrel on an airsoft will actually serve to decrease velocity due to friction as the pellet flies down the longer barrel.
