Why does my airsoft gun stop firing?
I’m new to airsoft and only know the basics, I have a full metal M4-A1 CQBR and when on semi automatic after a few shots it will just stop firing. If I switch to full auto and fire a few shots and switch back it’s fine, but it’s kinda useless. Can someone help me?
Thanks for the help, it’s a colt m4 just to let u know,but another friend said if the battery is low that can cause the piston to slow down and therefore the bb’s don’t fully come out, but thanks for the help now I know my new gun isn’t broken

All AEG have this problem to some extent. The cut off lever is not in the right position for the trigger to function, thus pulling the trigger does nothing, this is because of a short trigger pull that caused the gearbox to not fully cycle. Switching to auto removes the cut-off lever from the system and thus the gun fires again and once back in proper position, semi becomes functional again… It is just a glitch that all V2 & V3 gearboxes have as far as I know.
